The Spruce-it-up Ozone Shock Treatment uses activated oxygen to naturally reduce many indoor pollutants. Indoor pollutants can be reduced by removing the sources of the pollutant. Cessation of smoking, removal of pets and repairing of water leaks will remove the source of some pollutants. Once the source has been removed and the indoor treated with our treatment, the problem will not reoccur. However some biological pollutants will occur daily, seasonally, or build up with time. In these situations the treatment should be used seasonally or on a more regular basis.

Our ozone shock treatment is capable of reducing the level of pathogens, reducing and removing odours, and reducing the concentrations of some organic and inorganic chemicals found in our domestic and work environments, thus reducing the effects of “sick building syndrome”. However, it is important that special care is taken during the treatment process. No humans or pets can be in the environment during treatment.

Ozone kills bacteria by rupturing the cell wall of the offending organism. This action kills the bacteria leaving only harmless waste. While ozone is very powerful, it has a very short life cycle. When it is faced with odours the extra atom of oxygen destroys them completely by oxidation. In doing so, that extra atom of oxygen is destroyed and there is nothing left...no odour....no extra atom, only oxygen.

In addition, fogging can be used to treat hidden areas that are typically vulnerable to mold, such as inside wall or ceiling cavities or within an HVAC system.
